Eric Owen Moss, FAIA

Principal and Lead Designer

Eric Owen Moss was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Los Angeles. He holds Masters Degrees in Architecture from both the University of California at Berkeley, College of Environmental Design and Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design.

Moss was honored with the Academy Award in Architecture from the American Academy of Arts and Letters in 1999. He received the AIA/LA Gold Medal in 2001, and was a recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of California, Berkeley in 2003. In 2007, he received the Arnold W. Brunner Memorial Prize, recognizing a distinguished history of architectural design. In 2011 he was awarded the Jencks Award by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). In 2014 Moss was featured as a “Game Changer” in Metropolis Magazine and inducted into the National Academy. In 2015 the Pterodactyl was awarded with local, state, and national AIA design awards. In 2016 Moss received the Austrian Decoration of Honor for Science and Art from the Austrian Federal President during a ceremony on Hofburg Palace. In 2017 he received the Beidou Master Award in Ordos, China. In 2018 Vespertine was awarded a wide range of international awards and was named by Time Magazine as one of World’s Greatest Places for 2018. He received the prestigious Arpafil Award at the Guadalajara International Book Fair in 2019.

Eric Owen Moss has held teaching positions at major universities around the world including Harvard, Yale, Columbia, University of Applied Arts in Vienna, and the Royal Academy in Copenhagen. Moss has been a longtime professor at the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc), and served as its director from 2002-2015.

Dolan Daggett

Project Director

Daggett received his Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. As Project Director, Daggett guides projects through all phases of design and development, and has led project teams on a variety of projects. Daggett is a licensed architect in the state of California.

Eric McNevin

Project Director

McNevin received Bachelor degrees in Environmental Design and Architecture from Ball State University, and received his Master of Architecture from SCI-Arc. He has led design teams on a wide range of projects around the world. McNevin is a licensed architect in the state of California.

Raul Garcia

Project Architect

Garcia received his Bachelor of Architecture and Minor in Construction Management from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Garcia is a licensed architect in the state of California.

Vanessa Jauregui

Project Architect

Jauregui received her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture cooperatively from Baylor University & Washington University in St. Louis, and received her Master of Architecture from SCI-Arc. Jauregui is a licensed architect in the state of California.

Hugo Ventura

Project Designer

Ventura received his Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly, Pomona. Ventura has been integral in bringing a wide range of award winning projects to execution with years of experience managing, coordinating, and developing projects from design to construction.

Saba Samiei

Project Designer

Samiei received his Bachelor of Architecture from BIHE, Iran and received his Master of Architecture from SCI-Arc. He has been integral in the design development of several complex projects and has been a leader in advancing the office’s BIM standards and core competency.

Maxime Lefebvre

Project Designer

Lefebvre received both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Architecture from McGill University, Canada as well as a Master of Science in Architectural Technologies from SCI-Arc. He is deeply involved in the technical development and construction administration of large scale projects.

Michael Robin

Project Designer

Robin received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Southern California. Prior to joining EOMA, Robin spent 7 years working at several award winning offices in Beijing and Shanghai, China. Robin brings a diverse project development experience to a wide range of project types.

Danial Mahfoud

Project Designer

Mahfoud received his Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and received his Masters in Architecture from Princeton University.  He is involved in the technical design, development, and coordination of various projects in the office.

Isabella Rendon

Designer

Rendon studied architecture at the University of Southern California and in the Asian Architecture & Landscape Urbanism program at the National University of Singapore. She is involved in various modes of design, documentation, and representation within the office.
